I have been Oncology Trained since 2013 and thoroughly enjoy helping clients with their skin while they navigate through anti-cancer treatment. My facial services are dedicated to safely, compassionately and confidently caring for the client and any new skin challenges. Most undergoing treatment experience issues ranging from mildly irritating dryness and rashes to the more severe. After a thorough history & skin analysis, I provide a customized service and a home plan to help lessen side effects and create healthy skin. This is an advanced training program teaching estheticians safe & beneficial skin services for the client undergoing current cancer treatments & thereafter. Services are based upon client’s medical history, skin conditions, current cancer treatments and medications, and the side effects that occur to the skin from treatments. Training includes discussion of various forms of anti-cancer medical treatments, chemotherapy, radiation, contraindications, as well as advanced ingredient knowledge and how to help the client’s health-challenged skin, as well as when referral to a dermatologist is needed for medical assessment.

I have been working as a licensed esthetician since 2007 and a manicurist since 2009. In 2013, I became “Oncology Trained” so that I could safely work with individuals going through cancer treatments. I manage the skin services at the salon, including the selection of products we use for both the oncology client as well as for the non-oncology
skin client. My education has allowed me to provide safe, non-invasive and beneficial facials and skin services for clients currently undergoing cancer treatments or post-treatment. After a thorough skin analysis, the “My Oasis” facial is customized to your individual needs with a compassionate and educated method of touch, comfort, and care. Acupressure, reflexology, modified facial and other massage techniques and stress-reducing modalities are incorporated so that you leave my treatment room with lessening of your skin side effects, a plan for at home, your skin hydrated, and your spirit lifted. I use only clean, healthy products that are rooted in oncology cosmeceuticals. When treatment is all over and your skin is ready, I can continue our partnership to help you reach long term skin care goals! Oncology clients often have nail concerns as well so my training is beneficial to nail care.
My background prior to Esthetics was in the legal field as a Paralegal for 20 years. My detail-oriented skills and medical knowledge from my prior work experience has been very beneficial to my Esthetic and oncology work.
